Hello, I am Andrei Baragan and I am a web developer since 2005.

My skills include:
- PHP OOP with Symfony / Zend Framework, Wordpress
- HTML/CSS, jQuery
- MySQL, a little NoSQL experience with MongoDB and Redis,
- Memcached, SOLR and sphinx for search, Varnish as a reverse proxy
- Linux server administration (apache, nginx, MySQL, memcached, varnish, server monitoring)
- Cloud computing with Amazon (S3, EC2), Google Apps for your domain

Portfolio:
- Video ad server (start-up). Written in symfony, using MySQL, memcached, varnish.
- Open source video management platform (start-up) in symfony. Implemented it for two big TV stations. Extensive use of memcached, ffmpeg and nginx.
- Dailymix (currently offline): News aggregator done in symfony. Communicated via TCP/IP api with C++ news crawler server. Wrote custom algos for news clustering.
- Convertor.ro Currency converter done in symfony. Advanced graphing. Automatic crawling of banks websites'.

- App for managing a library and it's books, client and loands (symfony)

- Phonebook: phone numbers website where you can claim your number, google friend connect integration (romaniaphone.com), Symfony, 50 hours
- Expert Question and answer website, sms/credit card payments, Symfony, 20 hours
- Twitter classifieds website and bot.
